How does the Etiscope system work?
Three components. Five IMU sensors are fitted to the worker (head, upper back, lower back, both arms). The Etiscope iPad app records the task and produces a Consequential Risk Score broken down by body region and dominant exposure factor. The cloud portal stores every assessment, surfaces pre/post comparisons, and exports into the customer's safety-management system.

What does an assessment produce?
Five outputs per assessment: summary risk score, detailed contributing-factors report, task description, data-capture summary, and physical task-demands report (used for return-to-work and onboarding). Assessments and reports are unlimited under an active subscription.

How is worker privacy handled?
Assessments can run with de-identified worker IDs. Raw video access is permission-controlled and automatic face-blurring is available at or after assessment. Data is stored in a cloud library with full export to the customer's safety systems; access is logged.

Which standards does Etiscope align with?
Etiscope is aligned with REBA, RULA, MAC (HSE INDG383), ART (HSE INDG438), RAPP (HSE INDG478), HSG60, ISO 31000, ISO 11228-1, and Safe Work Australia hazardous manual task guidance. Lower-limb postures within REBA are not yet covered. The Revised NIOSH Lifting Equation is methodologically distinct and not directly comparable.

STEP 01 - ASSESS

Five IMU sensors fit to the worker — head, upper back, lower back, both arms. The task is performed in real conditions. The app produces a Consequential Risk Score, broken down by body region and dominant exposure factor.


STEP 02 - CONTROL

The score names the lever. Targeted controls land high in the hierarchy — eliminate, substitute, engineer — instead of defaulting to worker training.


STEP 03 - VALIDATE

Re-assess the same task after the control is in. Pre and post scores sit side-by-side. If the score didn't fall, the control didn't work.


STEP 04 - TRACK

Every assessment lives in the cloud portal. Risk trends across sites, tasks and time. The defensible, longitudinal record builds itself.
